Things are moving at the speed of light around here. So far, so good, but I can tell that I’m going to crash in the next day or two. It’s inevitable.
Today:
play catch up

Yesterday was a series of unfortunate events. Nothing went according to plan. Instead of fighting the apparent laws of nature, I decided to put on pajamas at 7:15pm and climb into bed with the girls and read.
It was a good choice.
I started a discussion on the forums about new year’s resolutions. I’m inspired by Melissa and Sandy to work out more. And I love CBeth’s One Minute Writer— being creative always feels so good.
Today:
wrap/mail/etc.

Happy weekend!
We did the elf on a shelf. Our family now has Norman, and I’m really surprised at how into this the kids were. My big girls are 9 and 6, and I wasn’t sure how they would take to the book and doll. I’d have thought my eldest would be more skeptical, but she really wasn’t.
I find this fascinating! I guess kids just really like magic.
I do, too.
this weekend:
random Holiday paraphanalia
I’ve got a book signing today (sat), 1pm, at Barnes & Noble in Tanforan if anyone is local!
FRIDAY!

I started this week so well. I got up at 4am on Monday morning, cranked out some review posts and then a crockpot post, got the baby to the doctor, got the big kids to their schtuff, did the chores, made dinner, and went to a pta meeting.
it’s all gone downhill since then, and I am so glad the week is over.
I’ve got a book signing on Saturday, and I always have so much fun meeting new people. I’m really looking forward to it.
and I’m looking forward to next week.
in other news, we were given an Elf on the Shelf book and doll. The kids haven’t unwrapped it yet. Do you have one of these? Twitter says they’re creepy—what do you think? The sentiment is neat…
happy friday!! xxo

I need to listen to November Rain. How is it that it’s the last day of November, and I haven’t heard that song once this month? I can’t even remember the last time I heard it—-it’s been months. Maybe even a year?
that’s a good song.
(lol. Now Adam’s out in the garage searching through the old CDs.
)
Today:
what’s the status on the holiday cards?
don’t forget to eat. and shop. I always fall behind on meal planning this time of year, and we end up eating quesadillas and yogurt for dinner. or Taquitos and tater tots…
perform three random good deeds today. make someone smile.
I’ve got some giveaways on Totally Together Reviews.
Have a fantastic last-day-of-November!

I hope you’re having a wonderful weekend and are surrounded by loved ones. If you’re in the midst of crazy weather, please be careful if you need to go out. Stay warm and cozy!
This weekend:
put the serving dishes away
take down pumpkins, turkeys, and other fallish garb
break out the winter Holiday decorations. If you feel like decorating, go for it. If not, figure out when it makes the most sense for your family.
keep up with the Daily 7 (yes, even the laundry!
)

Hello! Good morning! How are you today?
I’m helping the first grade make Stone Soup today, and I’m going to take the baby.
WHO IS WALKING.
at ten and a half months.
My hope is that she’ll just stay in the books/blocks area and I can still help the bigger kids with the cutting boards and knives. If not, I’m going to strap her in the stroller and continuously feed her pirate’s booty.
BECAUSE THAT’S WHAT GOOD MOMS DO!
bwhahahahaha!!
Today:
do the stuff you have to do
print out copies of Albuquerque the Turkey to sing at the table
find a few moments to yourself to chill
the weekend! YIPPEEEEEEE!

Yay for another weekend. We had family game night last night, and let me tell you:
I ROCK AT MEMORY.
I held back and let the kids each win a round but then after bedtime? I totally killed Adam.
KILLED IT!
I’m going to update my resume.
Who watched Oprah’s Favorite Things yesterday?
I can not imagine wearing a $500 sweater. My mind just does. not. compute.
this weekend:
I don’t need to continue to remind you about Thanksgiving, do I? (because I will. I have an annoying tendency to state the obvious)
oh. and I may have taken more than the allotted amount of Aleve today. Is there caffeine in there? But! I did refill my prescription for antibiotics, and have a scheduled dentist appt. in case I really do need more work. And I’ve promised to take my allergy medicine as directed. Instead of when I feel like it.
hmm.

It’s the middle of the week—time to dust, vacuum, and mop. Do a bit better than normal this week, because next week you’re going to feel a bit frazzled. Take the cushions off the couch, and suck up the crumbs, and use the hose attachment under the furniture. Look up. Are there cobwebs anywhere?
