day 154: more feng shui the easy way

June 3, 2010 by

154

Good morning! Thank you so much for spending another day with me—-you all are a quiet bunch, but are certainly loyal. I appreciate you all so much, thank you.

The image up above is the way your house/apartment/cabin/tent/room is divided according to feng shui principles (this diagram is taken directly from the book, Move Your Stuff Change Your Life—except I [badly] drew it out for you). You may need to click on it to make it larger so the writing can be easily read, or do Ctrl + to enlarge the screen.

The section of your life that you are most actively working on, should be the cleanest/most organized area of your life. For instance: if you are trying to attract more prosperity in your life, stand inside your front door and draw an imaginary line diagonally, and to the left, to the back quadrant of your house. That’s your prosperity corner, and it should be as clean and as clutter-free as possible. If this is already true, and you’d like to “boost” the energy up in that section, you can add bright color and something symbolic to prosperity that’s meaningful to you (like a stack of monopoly money, travel brochures, etc.)

I find this *fascinating.* (Adam continues to think I’m nuts. :-) )

Today:

daily 7

feng shui the easy way and pay attention to at least one section of your house and make sure that your energy and passion are in line with what messages your house is giving to the universe.

stop rolling your eyes…. they might stay that way! LOL ;-0

    Hi Steph,

I just found this blog through your slow cooking blog, and I LOVE it! This is exactly what I need to help me keep on track. Thank you for being honest and real, and most of all, keeping a sense of humor!

Now to go tackle that Daily 7… TGIAF!

Thanks for these posts! I am very interested in boosting my feng shui. You are making it seem both possible and reasonable.

huh. I find this *fascinating*, too. I think I just figued out why I like my house so much. According to the very well-drawn diagram, I am amazed at how my “set up” fits. Prosperity is located where my kitchen is…we all know how good it feels to be “food rich.” That’s also where my work center is: where I pay bills and do all our planning. The family square is where my dining room table/fireplace is…the center of our family life. Skills & knowledge is where I have my book case and prefer to do all my reading (I’m a self-improvement junkie like you, Steph.) Fame & reputation, Health, Career – nonexistent. Relationship & love = master bedroom. Creatitivity & children is the staircase up to the playroom and children’s bedrooms. Helpful people & travel = garage workshop and minivan. Really. Cool, huh? I’ve had red envelopes in all four corners of the house for years. No financial disaster yet. No big lottery check, either.

      Wow! That is so cool!
Our prosperity corner is in the garage. The kids and I painted the far left corner purple. That’s also where we store the board games, like Monopoly, lol!

hmmm… my prosperity corner is my kids’ shared room… maybe we’ll just have to settle for less prosperity!! haha!
No, it actually does stay pretty clean *most* of the time b/c I’ve PROMed it over and over and over, but they do like to destroy whatever cleanliness and organization that I have managed to get in there during, um, “nap time.”
Maybe we’ll just focus on relationships and love… which just so happens to be where DH’s and my bedroom is! ;)
