Day 4

It’s Monday, and for many, this is the first time you’re turning on your computer in 2010. Congratulations on taking a media break!
If you’re just joining us, you are not behind. We spent the first 3 days of the New Year writing down personal goals, family goals, and a punch list for our house. Today is when we’re going to get reacquainted (or acquainted!) with the Daily 7.
The Daily 7 are the quick and easy chores that “should” be done on a daily basis. These chores can be done by anyone in the family, and do not need to be done perfectly at all. How you incorporate them into your routine is completely up to you. If it makes more sense to adopt one at a time into your family, do it. If you’d like to get up early in the morning and do the majority before the rest of the family awakens, fine. There are no rules here, just do what works for you.
This post outlines the Daily 7 for a Highly Successful Household
Today:
Develop a personal motto about housework. Here are a few suggestions to get you started:
–the more you do today, the less you have to do tomorrow
–every little bit you do today is better than the nothing you did yesterday
–half-assed is better than nothing (my favorite!
)
coming up tomorrow: Remembering the WoMom
yesterday: Making a Punch List
