day 56–PROM the china cabinet

I loved reading your comments and emails about yesterday’s post on changing your vocabulary to change your experience. I found myself a few times yesterday struggling to keep my brain-talk in check, but thanks to your support, I quickly “changed my mind.”

thank you!

I have a confession. We had guests over on Super Bowl Sunday, and while everything else has been cleaned up, the top of my china cabinet was used as a buffet, and I still haven’t put the platters away and put the picture frames and decorative knick knacks back out.

Today is the day! What’s your china/dish/knick knack cabinet or cupboard look like? Do you have things shoved in there that you’ve rarely or never used? Clear it out. Make room for something you really love, or leave the space empty.

I followed the crockpot blog almost all year and it changed the way I think about cooking. I just started following this one, and it looks like it’ll change the way I think about housework. Woohoo!

Because today is only my 3rd day of doing your daily lists (and Daily 7), my bathrooms needed a little more than a quick mop. So I ditched the mop, took off my shoes and socks, and grabbed a couple of clean rags so I could use my toes to really get into the corners. Then I did “wax on, wax off” with my feet over the sprayed tile floors. Great for the thighs, lemme tell ya.

I think I should log it in my Wii Fit!
